Wanderlust

It’s never too early or too late to start exploring the world! A beautiful, diverse and also expensive place. What can we do when our desire to travel is hindered by the financial aspect? Here are some tips I am incorporating into my routine to start saving up for some adventures!

1. EAT OUT LESS: This one will probably be the hardest for me personally, but buying lunch every day adds up quick! Some alternatives being pack your own lunch or trying to cut down your lunch cost to no more than $5 a day.

2. KEEP TRACK OF WHAT YOU ARE SPENDING ON: By making a list of what I’m buying daily and organizing it into columns of “needs” and “wants” I will be able to start eliminating unnecessary purchases.

3. START A DEDICATED TRAVEL FUND: This will be an account that is solely for the purpose of traveling and is easy for me to transfer money into. Even if it’s just $5 a day, that is still a start!

4. PLAN & COMMIT: As much as I enjoy spontaneity, I need to PLAN out where I want to go and how much I realistically need to save and then COMMIT to the changes I need to make to do so.

Will keep you posted with any updates on more tips and which ones are most beneficial :). Wishing you all safe travels!
